Summer Dog Feet - by Maggie

This is part of the 'Summer Feet' series and is perhaps one of the best of the bunch! I cannot take credit for it, however. It was taken by one of my foot models - Maggie - her feet are featured in 'Superstar Summer Soccer Feet' and 'Summer Feet on the Rocks'.

It's a happy day for feet in Minnesota when we can go outside and play!

These photos were taken the last week of June and are showing for the month of July at 'A Fine Grind' Coffee House in St. Paul with some great art by my friends in L7*.

Photos of Childhood Dreams

When I was a kid I wanted to live on either Sesame Street or with the Ingalls family. These are the things I wish I could have seen out my window. Instead my bedroom window faced bathroom window of the neighbor's 1950's rambler. I was always a bit frightened about the possibility of an accidental peek of nudity.(Someday I will photograph that window - minus the nudity.)

Chiapas

I took these photos during a United Theological Seminary Global Justice course that was held in Chiapas, Mexico.  As a seminary student it was very interesting to learn of the effects of Christianity, both negative and positive, on the indigenous people of the country.  I used Photoshop to merge the photos of the crosses with the those of the girls to convey a connection between the two.

Brazil 1998 - the beginning

These are small paintings and digital photos I created during a three month visit to the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. During my stay there I spent my days making art and taking photos. Although I had made art in the past, it was at this time that I came to realize just how important and enjoyable the process was to me. It was there that I started the journey to identifying myself as an artist.
