There will be libations

I know that when it says "there will be libations" on a party invitation it means booze. But I always imagine something sexual because the word libation sounds sexual. Maybe because it sounds like a combination of labia and vibration. I think it would be better to just say booze.

By the way, I went to a publication party for my friend Claudia Poser tonight. She just published her book Dreaming in German. It was an awesome party for an awesome book by a very talented writer (and ceramic artist as well!) There were libations at the party - but I had booze.
