One of my very favorite things in life is to meet a kid who loves to create - and I met one this summer who blew me away. I volunteered at a bike race Art Tent decorating racing numbers with little kids and youth artist, Derek Bellas, volunteered too. We happened to have sidewalk chalk on hand.
In a matter of minutes, Derek managed to turn the entire intersection on which we were stationed into a gigantic work of art and it was amazing.
The Lowertown Lofts Artist Cooperative has invited Derek to come down for the Fall Art Crawl and do the same in our alley on Saturday morning. Don't miss his work behind 255 East Kellogg between our building and 262 on the alley between Wall and Wacouta.
